The course

What we investigate.

Explore the major areas of computer science while developing the habits of graduate research. Read and discuss research papers, practice scientific communication, work with research tools, and develop a semester project that connects ideas with practice.

Learning outcomes

  • Connect foundational ideas across the major areas of computing.
  • Read, discuss and communicate computing research.
  • Plan a path into graduate study and research at OU.
  • Develop a semester project and explain its results.
